As Autumn books go, this is one of our absolute favourites. .
It is the sweetest book about a fox named Fletcher who is desperately trying to save his beloved tree ... a tree that he thinks is sick .. a tree that is suffering from ‘Autumn’. .
He minds the tree, he tries to reassure the tree, he protects the leaves of the tree from other animals .. all the while trying to unknowingly prevent Autumn from doing its job. .
The tenderness and sincerity of Fletcher is felt through the words of the story, written by Julia Rawlinson .. but also portrayed through the absolutely beautiful illustrations by tiphanie_beeke .
It is such a lovely book to read ... a lovely book to read and to discuss seasonal change and the wonder of the Winter tree at the end of the change. But also a wonderful book to open up the opportunity to talk about any change in a child’s life .. change can be scary, change can be uncertain, change can be worrying .. but change can bring so much beauty, progress and new life with it. .
A really stunning book .. one which will definitely not be packed away once Autumn is gone 💕💕
