Announcement: I never posted about it over the summer, but I applied to the Experience Design and Management (ExDM) program in the business school at BYU. At some point in the busyness of life, I forgot to mention that I was accepted! If you follow Rachel, she mentioned it, as well as how the Marriott school is ranked the 18th business school in the nation. Last weekend my cohort went to new student orientation in Jackson hole, Wyoming. It was a blast meeting new people (especially Spicy Zeus 🌶⚡️) and learning about the many skills and career paths that are available in the major.
You’re probably asking yourself, what is ExDM? The answer is: The process of designing intentional experience journeys to produce results desired by both the participant and the provider.
Fields in the industry: employee, customer, and entrepreneurial experience design; product and project management; digital and product marketing.
My plan, as of right now (though subject to change) is to become involved in zoos and aquaria to design experiences that inspire people to live more sustainably. I also want to help businesses design experiences that are more inclusive, especially for the deaf and disabled.
So that’s the exciting thing happening in my life right now, and my accidental resume, thank you for coming to my TED talk ✌️🤟
